Wild Animal Drinking Pools
Description
Due to the decrease in rainfall over the last 3 years, freshwater springs have dried up. As a result the wild animals in the mountains surrounding St Katherine's cannot find places to drink. In their search for water the ibex, which are a protected species, have started to invade the Bedouin gardens, destroying many trees. The project is to build 12 small stone basins which collect slow-dripping springs and provide places for ibex, foxes, wild donkeys and birds to drink.
