The children loved the Bedouin for their kindness and patience and when we asked them what they had learned from the trip we were surprised by the depth of their self awareness their responses showed. They said they had learned not to be afraid of new things and not to be shy with new people. This has held true for us and the trip brought home to us the fundamentals of life and what really matters when the material possessions are stripped away.
